The Institute has yet again embarked on a major publication after the successful printing and launch of the Monolingual iTaukei Dictionary. The new book titled: Wai Vakaviti is a collection of iTaukei herbal remedies from indigenous herbalists and medicinal people. Publicized with their consent, the aim of the publication is to create awareness amongst iTaukei of the need to use their natural resources to heal and cure ailments and the related sicknesses and injuries which may be costly to treat in national hospitals and healthcare centres. The book is a second of a series of publications earmarked by the Institute.

The book was launched on 25th February 2009 and can be bought at a price of $15.00 per copy at the office and also at USP book center.
