Overseas
Award
An overseas award covers payments of:
-
Tuition fees,
-
Establishment Allowance (paid
once only),
-
Living allowance (paid quarterly),
-
Excess baggage allowance (paid
in the final year),
-
Air passage (from Fiji to country
of award in the first year and return in the final year),
and
-
Any other compulsory fees levied
by the Institution.
Local
Awards
Payments of local awards include for USP (Laucala Campus)
can be one of the following:
Full
Scholarship
-
Tuition fees
-
Full book allowance - $350
USP student’s association fees and campus accommodation
when approved. Only those on full awards are considered
for campus accommodation. For this, priority is given
to students from outside Suva and Nausori and pursuing
courses in the priority areas. Students living within
the Suva/Nausori corridor and up to Naboro along the Queens
Road will not be considered, however the Committee reserves
the right to consider special applications on a case-by-case
basis.

Health fees are paid for residential
students.

These are paid directly to the
University at the beginning of each semester.

Payments for awards
tenable at either Alafua and Emalus are as follows:
For awards tenable at the USP (Alafua Campus), the following
are paid:-
-
campus accommodation,
-
pocket allowance,
-
book allowance,
-
USP student’s association
fees,
-
Health cover fee,
-
Practical allowance and
-
Airfares: Alafua Campus, Samoa/Fiji/Samoa
per annum.
Pocket, book and practical
allowances are paid directly to the students at the beginning
of each semester. Accommodation and other fees are paid directly
to USP.
For awards tenable
at the USP (Emalus Campus), the following are paid:-

campus accommodation,
-
pocket allowance,
-
book allowance,
-
USP student’s association
fee,
-
Health cover fee and
-
Return airfares: Emalus Campus,
Vanuatu/Fiji/Vanuatu per annum.
Pocket and book allowances are paid directly to the students
at the beginning of each semester. Accommodation and other
fees are paid directly to USP. Tuition fees are absorbed
through the Government grant to the University.

to secondary schools.

fees, Augmented fees and Texts. Paid directly to Fiji
Centre.

USP Foundation Tuition Fee Award
– Tuition fees only. Paid directly to Fiji Centre.

FNU (College of Medicine) Award – Tuition fees
and Book Allowance

TPAF Award – Tuition fees
only.
